smtp still down !

The nice people at Fido now admit they are changing their web platform and
broke the current gprs.fido.ca for smtp mail outbound.

They are in no hurry to fix, suggesting it might be up again somewhere
between 16Feb and 6Mar.

I have setup another smtp service for my treo so I no longer care if they
ever get this fixed but for those with this issue, good luck.

Interesting. I just tried sending myself an email from my handset and it
worked.

Normally, messages would be coming from Aegis.fido.ca, and my handset IP
would be in the 205.205 range.
