Whats wrong with rogers and fido.
1) Lack of Choice of Phones, stupid price for remarkably cheap phones.
Unless you sign up for a plan for 3 long years.
2) long distance rates are unbelievably high.
3) can't upgrade a plan in the middle of the month, everything depends
on your billing cycle.
4) Mobile browsing is a very expensive
5) Available mobile browsing plan but only on a Fido phone. So if you
have a fancy phone, your out in the cold.
6) People on the help desk are helpless. No authority to fix a
problem. Just know how to tell you politely that you can't get what
you want.
7) overall experience leave customers frustrated and upset.

Lack of decent phone carriers in Canada are keeping these folks alive.
I would never invest in a company that exists because of lack of
choice.

Whats wrong with Rogers cable.
Hd boxes don't work well. Many glitches. When you complain tell you
that your box is probably defective. I have had 3 so far. The Time
shifting is not even close to satellite providers.

Also rogers cable internet isn't allowing bittorrent traffic and they
no longer offer news groups.

I really don't see a brite future for these people.

Indeed. And with the early cancellation penalties having increased
substantially as of late, the situation is even more dire.

However, Rogers is good about discounts fairly early into your term if
you're a profitable customer, I've gotten a new phone at the 3-year rate
as early as 4 months into a 3 year term.

Good cash cow. Buy a calling card.

Too many people changing rate plans and not understanding prorating. I
worked at TELUS and you wouldn't believe the people that just don't get
it.

You explain the number of minutes and the amount they'll be charged.
They say they understand. At the end of the month they call back and
wonder why they didn't get the full larger "bucket" of minutes for the
whole month.

Coming down, but sadly, yes.

I can't say I've bumped into this, but I am the calm and patient type.
