OT: Rogers also offering Name Display (like Fido already has been doing)

I haven't been getting any names to appear on my unlocked Treo 650 with Fido
(only those names from my contacts/address book) even though I have Call
Display service. When I called Fido customer support, they informed me that
since I was using a non-Fido non-supported phone, they couldn't fix my
problem (they didn't even humour me and try). In any event, Rogers will
offer the same Name Display service as Fido:

Apparently this only works with Bell landline's, Rogers and Fido phones. (If
you are using any other provider the name will not display)

I just tried from a landline and no name displayed. Is this supported
only on new generation handsets, or would any GSM handset suport this ?

Not sure since when I called Fido and they asked me which Fido handset I was
using, I told them I wasn't using a Fido handset and they automatically told
me that it wasn't supported even though I consider that I have one of the
later handsets and it is a handset that is used by Rogers (Treo 650). I will
call them again in a few days and say that I have another handset since
their free name display is only for a limited time for people who also
subscribe to callerid and see what happens. Since Rogers is also coming out
with the same service and they use Treo 650's, I don't see why my Treo 650
can't display the names of people who aren't on my SIM/contact/addressbook.

I called Fido today. The 4 legged furry CSR told me that the Bell
landline interface wasn't yet up and running so it was just rogers/fido
originated calls that provide the caller's name. She wasn't sure when
the Bell stuff would be running, and basically the free trial is while
they implement/debug the system.

After that, there will be an additional cost to get caller's name on top
of their numbers.
